Be a Hesby Volunteer!

Gala

The annual Gala and Auction is the BIGGEST fundraising event of the year!
It is an adult only evening, with live music, dinner & drinks, silent and live auctions, and much more!
We rely heavily on volunteers for this event to help gather donations for the auction and help the chairs plan the event.

Monster Mash

This is Hesby’s Annual Halloween Carnival and is a huge hit with the kids of all ages! We need a lot volunteers to pull this event off, including night of the event to make this fun and exciting for everyone. From set up and take down to assisting at attractions, there is something for everyone. We ask you give us an hour during the evening to keep it safe and fun.

Fun Run

This is our annual jog-a-thon and our only student lead fundraiser. We need volunteers to assist on the day of to help with water, count laps, etc. It is a fun event to be apart of with your student.

Hes-BEE Spelling Bee

The Hesby Annual Spelling Bee always needs volunteers to help with the night of festivities.

Talent Show

A great end of the year event for the kids. A fun night of local talent. Volunteers help keep the show and acts on track!

Volunteer in the Classroom

There are many volunteer opportunities that are available and encouraged in your child’s classroom. These volunteer positions vary in time commitment and amount of active participation time required. Many are "behind the scenes" positions that are ideal for working parents. There is something for everyone! You can also contact the school office directly for more information.

Please note: if you decide to volunteer for a position that requires your presence in your child's classroom, you must fill out the following LAUSD forms:

LAUSD Volunteer Form: fill out online, then print out and bring to the office (note: badges take 2-3 weeks to arrive and MUST be worn at all times while volunteering on campus)

Volunteer Commitment FormTB Test Form (required once every 4 years)
