To enroll, head over to the VCC website and choose the class you’d like to register your child for. Registrations are accepted up until 24 hours before class- although, word has it that Mr. Sligh allows late enrollments if you happen to catch him around campus and ask nicely.

LAUSD PROGRAM - FREE TO STUDENTS
Beyond the Bell: Youth Services is an after-school program of organized games, enrichment activities, nutrition, physical fitness, and homework time is provided for those students capable of independent supervision to, from, and at the playground site. It is not a child care program- students sign in and leave by their own volition, and are expected to conduct themselves appropriately while the program is in session.
The program is for elementary students (grades 2-5) and middle school students (grades 6-8) on all instructional days until 6:00. It is closed on all non-instructional days (weekends, holidays, pupil free days, etc). Playground services are only available during scheduled hours.
Parents and guardians must arrange ahead of time for how their child goes home. If a child has not been picked up or leave by their own volition by 6:00 pm, staff will initiate “late child” procedures. If the child cannot be reunited with their parent of guardian after one hour, a child protective agency will be contacted to assist with supervision of the child. For emergency purposes, parents/guardians are required to complete and maintain all phone numbers and contact information.
In order for a student to be approved to participate, the Before and After-School Program Application/Agreement must be completed (which you can find at the bottom of this tab). Click here to download a PDF of the application. Once completed and authorized by the Youth Services staff person on duty, the student may participate.
