The 7th Annual Hes-Bee
We’re Buzzing with Excitement! The HesBee (Spelling Bee) has transformed into an evening event….to take place on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
What’s the HesBee?
The object of the HesBee is to challenge students’ spelling skills, and give them an opportunity to compete in a school-wide event. The HesBee will start with students grouped by grade level. Spellers will start with grade level words, and then move on to other words from the 450-word list, studying as many words as they choose.
One winner from each grade will advance to the Hes-Bee live round finals. The winner of the Hes-Bee live round finals will be eligible to advance to the 2017 Los Angeles County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee! Enclosed is a complete list of Spelling Bee words for grades 1 through 8 provided by the National Spelling Bee, grouped by grade level. Students can now start preparing for the live rounds.
