Hello New and Returning Hesby Families!

We are Sara Polinsky and Caryn Weingarten, your new Hesby Involved Parents (HIP) President and Vice President for the 2018-2019 school year. We are excited to welcome you to the new school year and to share some important updates.

If you are a new Hesby family, we understand that all this information can be overwhelming. The HIP Board is committed to helping you navigate through it all. Whether you prefer emails, texts, Facebook or paper in hand, we hope to keep you well-informed and up to date on what's happening at Hesby.

This past Spring, we had the opportunity to hear from Hesby parents as to how they'd like us to approach our fundraising goals this year: less fundraisers, with greater emphasis on our most impactful ones. Your message was loud and clear and as a result, we will focus on 4 of our most important fundraisers:

Annual HOPE Fund Drive-Our direct donation fundraiser. Our aim is to get 100% participation in 100 days.

Monster Mash-Our annual Halloween-themed Carnival with fun games, activities, and tasty treats.

Hesby Fun Run-The Jog-A-Thon where our students run laps and collect pledges based on how many laps ran.

Hesby Gala-A fun Parents' night out in the Spring with dinner, drinks, dancing and a silent and live auction.

As we get closer to each of these fundraisers we will be sending out additional details and sign-up's to help us plan and execute each event. We welcome all of our parents who want to get involved!

We're excited to share that although school hasn't started yet, thanks to our amazing new Kindergarten class, we've already raised over $15,000 for our HOPE Drive! We're off to a great start and will have HOPE Fund and Spirit Wear tables set up during the first few weeks of school. We will also have sign-ups for volunteers who want to work on our various events throughout the year...so please plan to stop by and see us!

We would like to thank everyone that signed up to help us host our annual Welcome Back Teachers & Faculty Lunch coming up on Monday, August 13th. Special thanks to Susan Wiesner for hosting our faculty breakfast as well!

Thank you and see you soon!

Sara & Caryn

                                                                                                           100% in 100 Days!

We are very excited for the new school year and are looking forward to working with all our Parents, Teachers and Hesby staff to make it great! This year we have decided to forgo all the little fundraisers and focus all our energy towards our four biggest fundraising events.  These are:  HOPE Fund, Monster Mash, Fun Run and Gala/Auction.

Our first big push will be the HOPE Fund. If you are new to Hesby, this is our direct donation drive.  We ask for $500.00 per child, but we are grateful and happy to take WHATEVER YOU CAN GIVE.  Our goal this year is to get 100% Participation in 100 Days.

Below is a list of all the things HIP pays for through  our fundraising efforts.  In order to maintain all of these positions and programs, we need to raise a total of $320,000 this year.  We are hoping to raise approximately half of that amount through the HOPE Fund.
